With my history degree focusing on Native American Studies, I believe I can teach people about our many Native American cultures, as well as broaden understanding of what makes minority peoples different and yet so much the same.
My artwork has become a major avenue of this valued education. I do my very best to create in a style that is as traditional as possible, while working within the vision of a modern artist.
When someone walks away with one of my handcrafted flutes, for instance, that person takes away an impression of our music, a peek into the place where the music comes from and a deeper affinity for its use in our culture.
These lessons, using art, reach out to everyone -- the old, the young, the illiterate and the educated.
With each of my artistic endeavors, I strive to bridge the gap between showing the inner beauty of our culture and making the world I walk in even more beautiful.
